□ Gaussia Assays
Luciferase from the marine copepod Gaussia princeps (Gaussia luciferase,Gluc) is a novel reporter for gene expression in vitro and in vivo in differentfields. Gluc is naturally secreted, no cell lysis is needed. This enzyme showsstability at elevated temperatures. No accessory high-energy molecules like ATPand cofactors are required for enzyme reaction Gaussia luciferase is over2000-fold more sensitive than Firefly and Renilla reniformis luciferase and20000-fold more sensitive than secreted alkaline phosphatase (SEAP) whenexpressed in mammalian cells.
